A groundswell of votes can convert the nomination of Durban ICC into winning the title of Africa’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre 2023 on the 30th anniversary of the World Travel Awards. The nomination of the Durban ICC by World Travel Awards presents an excellent opportunity for Durban to claim its space in the global market space.

Durban ICC has been nominated in the World Travel Awards — Africa’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre 20 times and has been voted the winner in this category no fewer than 17 times.
Lindiwe Rakharebe, Chief Executive Officer, Durban ICC, said the convention centre had worked diligently to reduce the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic by applying innovative initiatives made possible by digital technology throughout its operations. Today, hybrid meetings allow delegates who attend in person to connect virtually with delegates anywhere in the world.
“Now the time has come to pick up the threads that came apart when the pandemic struck, and to bounce back with more energy and fortitude than even before.
“As we strive to rebuild and maintain our standing as an award-winning convention centre and ensure our valuable economic success, we remain committed to making an invaluable contribution to fostering greater social togetherness and bringing the family of mankind together as one.”
