The Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) is dedicated to promoting the educational, scientific, and technological development of all aspects of marine sciences with a view toward sustaining the use and conservation of its marine resources throughout the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region.
The event offers a unique regionwide and global platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, capacity development, strategic action, and cooperation.
The South Africa National Convention Bureau (SANCB) supported the 12th WOIMSA Scientific and made a significant contribution to the event’s success, particularly with regard to the bidding process for WIOMSA.
