The five-star Boardwalk Hotel, Convention Centre and Spa has won a prestigious Lilizela Tourism Award for excellence in the five-star meetings, exhibitions and special events category in this year’s Lilizela Tourism Awards programme. The award was presented to The Boardwalk’s operations manager, Peter Tshidi at the Eastern Cape provincial awards ceremony at East London recently. In 2015, The Boardwalk Hotel won a Lilizela Tourism Award for excellence in the five-star accommodation category.
Launched in 2013, the Lilizela Tourism Awards are recognised as South Africa’s premier travel and tourism awards, acknowledging and celebrating tourism businesses for service excellence, their contribution to South Africa’s global competitiveness, and for growing tourism’s contribution towards GDP and job creation.
