BREAKING NEWS – CAPE TOWN WINS BID FOR MAJOR WORLD  CONGRESS

The 2020 World Ophthalmology Congress  (WOC) will be held in Cape Town  and is expected to attract 15 000  delegates, making it the biggest  conference  to be held in the region.

Cape Town will become the first city in Africa to host the WOC, which will take place in the Cape Town International  Convention Centre  (CTICC) and earn more than R200-million for the local economy.

The CTICC,  Wesgro’s Cape Town and Western Cape Convention Bureau, as well as the Ophthalmology Society of South Africa (OSSA)  were congratulated by Alan Winde, the Western Cape Administration’s Minister of Economic Opportunities,  on winning the bid for WOC 2020.
