During a presentation held last Monday at the Kenzi Tower Hotel in Casablanca, Globe Network (a company specialising in qualified B2B contacts), announced the launch of Meetings Morocco, the first Moroccan show dedicated to the organisation of seminars and business events.
The show will be held in Marrakech on 14-15 January 2016.
Meetings Morocco, which had been on the planning board and in discussions with Moroccan professionals over a long period, was submitted in its final version to representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, ONMT (Moroccan National Tourist Office), the CNT (National Tourism Confederation), the CRTs (Regional Tourist Councils) and various other organisations such as the confederation of Moroccan companies and the Federation of Travel Agencies (FNAVM).
Meetings Morocco will be a meeting point between the Moroccan Meeting Industry offer and event organisers at both local and international levels.
A meeting show on a human scale
Far from the traditional models for such fairs, the event will be in the form of professional B2B meetings with pre-programmed appointments to ensure an optimal use of visitors’ time. A relaxed meeting that is welcoming and friendly, with networking as its watch word. Also on the programme: presentation breakfasts, networking and business lunches, an evening event, and an Eductours programme for hosted buyers from abroad.
A varied Moroccan offer
Meetings Morocco will notably welcome the CRTs, hotels and hotel chains providing a MICE offer, conference centres, all types of event venues including the most exceptional, incoming agencies-DMC, event communication agencies, transport companies (air and rail), as well as official organisations and the various service providers who work in the events sector. The offer will be complete, qualified, and cover all Morocco’s regions.
100 to 150 overseas hosted buyers holding a project for Morocco
Meetings Morocco will welcome 100 to 150 international hosted buyers from Europe (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Nordics countries, Russia, Spain, Turkey, UK, etc), Middle East/Gulf countries, Africa (North and West Africa), and America (US, Canada, Brazil, etc).
A VIP invitation to over 800 Moroccan companies
Over 80-0 invitations will also be sent to Moroccan companies. They will be addressed to those responsible for organising professional events: various department heads (marketing, communication, sales, media, purchasing, financial, human resources, general management).
The companies invited are from widely different sectors of activity such as laboratories, multi-national companies established in Morocco, the banking and financial sector, telecoms, agro-food, industrial, air (aerospace, airline, etc), the voluntary sector, etc. Not forgetting, of course, the event and communication agencies.
All those invited will enjoy a true VIP welcome, with accommodation in a five-star hotel, networking lunches and free transfers.
Conferences and thematic sessions
There will be a number of conferences and theme-based sessions during the two days which will focus on the topical subjects of the moment, in the presence of well-known representatives of the profession.
