Durban is currently hosting the annual congress of the Exhibition & Events Association of South Africa (EXSA) at the Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel. The two-day conference started today, 27 January 2014.
James Seymour, head of the Durban KwaZulu-Natal Convention Bureau, said: “Some 100 of Southern Africa’s most important exhibition and event organisers will be attending this prestigious conference.
“This will be a useful opportunity to showcase Durban and KwaZulu-Natal as a destination for significant exhibitions. We are particularly proud of what are two of South Africa, and Africa’s most significant exhibition centres, namely the Durban ICC and Durban Exhibition Centre and the Royal Showgrounds. The Durban ICC is Africa’s most significant convention centre.
“Furthermore, the Royal Showground hosts Africa’s most important agricultural show, the Royal Show, and the most important horticultural show in the Southern hemisphere, the Sunday Tribune Garden Show on an annual basis,” Mr Seymour said.
