THE Durban KwaZulu-Natal Convention Bureau is participating on the National Convention Bureau stand at IMEX America, which takes place in Las Vegas from the 14-17 October 2013.
James Seymour, chief executive officer of the Durban KwaZulu-Natal Convention Bureau, said: “IMEX America is regarded as one of the three most important exhibitions for incentive travel, meetings and events. It provides outstanding business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers alike, with the hosted buyer programme as the core element of the show.
“IMEX America 2012 was a sold-out show with dramatic growth over the inaugural event in 2011. Last year, 2 400 hosted buyers attended as part of America’s largest industry hosted buyer programme, meeting with more than 2 400 exhibitors from 148 countries. More than 38 000 appointments were scheduled before the event, with thousands more booked during the show.
“The Durban KwaZulu-Natal Convention Bureau has already secured some 20 meetings with association, government and corporate meeting, exhibition and incentive organisers. In addition, it will be attending the IMEX Association Day, which will give it access to some 300 international association meeting buyers.”
