Further growth at Focus Rooms

CORPORATE focused, yet fun orientated Focus Rooms in Sunninghill, Johannesburg, has increased its capacity with the opening of its newest area, Galaxy II. This venue has eight meeting rooms and gives Focus Rooms an additional 800 square metres, bringing the meeting space to 2 400 square metres.

Marisa Scott, managing director of Focus Rooms said: “We have been so privileged to have enjoyed phenomenal growth at Focus Rooms over the past two years and in order to accommodate the increased demand in capacity, we decided to expand.”

Ms Scott said Focus Rooms has a culture of fun, some may even say quirky, yet never compromising professionalism.

“We are serious about our clients and their business. However, we believe that delegates learn more when they are having fun. Every delegate or meeting group gets a ‘box of fun’ that just lightens the mood. We strive to bring fun into every event.”

In addition to opening a new venue, Focus Rooms has also opened its own restaurant, on 8th July to all their conference delegates. The restaurant seats over 250 delegates at one time and a three course buffet will be served daily.  The restaurant has a large patio with spectacular views.

Focus Rooms now has 21 meeting rooms, ranging from minimum four people to maximum of 500 cinema style and includes an executive boardroom for executive business meetings. The décor is fresh with bright coloured walls and modern interiors and certain rooms have stunning views of Sunninghill. Focus Rooms can easily accommodate over 800 delegates daily.

Each conference room has state of the art audio visual technology and wireless connectivity with an onsite IT professional. There are three conference co-ordinators on site and an operations supervisor to ensure that conferences run smoothly from start to finish. Parking is ample to accommodate the capacity as well as free with 24-hour security.

Over and above conferencing Focus Rooms is able to accommodate various other events such as training, end of year functions, teambuilding, seminars, exhibitions, launches, gala dinners and business meetings. “We are also able to arrange or assist your company in sourcing equipment, stages, décor and various other products,” Ms Scott said.
