NELSON Mandela stated: ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’
EXSA is excited to be running a set of workshops that are aimed at both worker and management levels. This proactive move developed out of a need for skills training within the industry, especially with regards to safety.
The training workshops aimed at the workers have been developed by NOSA. These topics include: working at heights, first aid, power tools, fire safety, HIV/AIDS awareness, and general safety. Each attendee receives a Certificate of Attendance after the workshop.
NOSA is the leading supplier of occupational risk management services and solutions. Their training programmes are based on modern occupational risk management principles that equip employees with knowledge and skills to reduce workplace incidents, create a healthier workplace and identify and manage environmental impacts.
The management workshops include topics such as: Intellectual Property, and POPI. The first workshop was conducted by Louis the Lawyer in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Sue Gannon, general manger of EXSA, stated: “This is a great initiative, and we have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback regarding the workshops. EXSA is about servicing the industry, and catering to their needs.”
